Ratios: 1 to 5
EMR: Cerner
Charge Nurse: Clinical supervisor - no pt assign, they will do break relief
Nurse Aides: 1 nurse aide for 8 hrs of day
Weekends: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule
Holidays: work into perm staff rotation
Scrub Color: navy
Tele: portable tele box if needed, they do have monitor tech, nurses must be able to read and interpret, will have to take dysrhythmia exam
Vents: no
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: hospitalist on 24/7
IV Team: no
RT 24/7: yes
Pharmacy 24/7: yes
Floating: to tele 1 to 4 ratio, could also float between medsurg floors
Floor specific orientation: 1 shift of orientation to unit
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: hips, knees, shoulders, spine, no drips
