Experience Requirements

• Minimum Experience:

  • 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
  • 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignments
• Licensure:

  • Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand

Certifications Required

• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Additional Requirements

• Must work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment to be completed during orientation with acceptable scores required
• Government-issued photo ID required while on assignment

Health and Safety Documents

• Physical Exam: Required within a year of start
• Fit Mask: Required within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap vaccine every 10 years
  • Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer
  • Varicella vaccination or titer
  • MMR vaccination or titer

Background and Reference Checks

• Background Check: Required prior to start and updated annually
• References:

  • 2 references required from employment within the past year, from a manager or supervisor

• Must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting
• Skills checklist required annually

Onboarding Process

• Completion of online training modules is mandatory prior to start
• Fingerprinting required within 12 months of start and updated annually
