  • CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL POSITION – PEDIATRIC ICU EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • **Traveler must be willing to get flu shot when requested**
  • Will care for all age ranges and levels of acuity
  • Patient Population: High acuity unit seeing injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post op cardiac surgical care, neurosurgery. Trauma, hem onc, DKA if PH or altered consciousness
    Job requirements
  • CA License
  • First to float to other units outside of the critical care units, including ED
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • 2 full recent years of Pediatric ICU experience (PICU, CTICU, CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL) *for travelers with PICU exp - 15 bed minimum and higher acuity of care across ALL PICU/ICU areas
  • Experience: Ventilators, trachs, multiple monitoring skills, specifically CVP and EKG
    Schedule information
  • 3x12 variable or straight night shifts
  • 4-5 weekend shifts sat-sun on day shift and then 5-6 shifts of fri-sat nights – traveler gets off one full weekend every 4 week schedule
  • 13 week contracts
  • Requested Time Off: Max 6 days (Must still get 3 shifts in per week)
  • Must work 2 out of the 3 holidays
    Unit specific information
  • This is a float pool position where the nurse will be the first to float to other units outside of the critical care units
  • The PICU experience required is specified by needing a minimum of 2 full recent years
  • All units in the critical care department will be cared for including the need to work with ventilators, trachs, and multiple monitoring skills
    Additional Details
  • Valid photo ID is required. Must have front and back copies. Traveler must present on their first day.
  • Orientation Information - sent out on the Thursday before a Monday start. The candidate must bring the following docs on their first day: Driver's license or valid photo ID, Professional license hard copy, All certifications needed for the position
  • Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing is required for ALL RNs (except Case Managers)
  • Proof of Auto Insurance is required for Home Health
