  • Registered Nurse for RN/ MS - Trauma at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, specializing in care for geriatric trauma, abuse/violence victims, traumatic brain injuries, and various surgical procedures such as appendicitis and hernia repairs. This position is within the BJC HealthCare system and includes responsibilities like blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, and wound care.
    Job requirements
  • 2 years of experience in similar role required. Ability to manage Med/Surg, blood product administration, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, ortho trauma, and surgical drains among others. Level 1 trauma experience and Float within scope to meet facility needs.
    Schedule information
  • Can sign for 36 or 48 hours. Biweekly starts. Ratios: 1:4-5. Weekend Requirement: every other. Guaranteed hours and no on-call requirements.
    Unit specific information
  • Services on unit: Geriatric trauma, trauma care for abuse/violence victims, and acute care surgery for various conditions like gallbladders, hernia repairs, and burns
    Additional Details
  • No locals accepted - must reside outside 75-mile radius. Pending License is accepted. No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract. Limited absence and tardiness to avoid cancellation. Scrub Color: Navy Blue. Magnet & Teaching Hospital. Total Staffed Beds: 1,266.
