- The UW Health Neurodiagnostic Technologist I is a multi-skilled allied health professional who performs diagnostic testing procedures including electroencephalograms (EEG), evoked potentials (EP), nerve conduction studies (NCS), long-term monitoring for epilepsy (LTM), and intensive care unit and continuous EEG monitoring (ICU/EEG).
- This position requires gathering relevant patient history to guide the test, and the technologist must be knowledgeable in clinical neurology.
- Duties may occur in a variety of settings including outpatient laboratory, emergency room, operating room, intensive care unit, special monitoring units or bedside.
- Two years combination of training and experience as a clinical Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist OR
- Five years experience as a clinical Seizure Monitor Technician or similar work
- Pediatric Experience required
- Candidate should have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital
- Prior traveler experience highly preferred
- Shift: Tue-Fri, four 10-hour shifts, 9pm-7:30am
- This employee will work in a variety of settings including outpatient laboratory, emergency room, operating room, intensive care unit, special monitoring units, or at the patient's bedside.
- Studies may be performed in an emergency room, operating room, and intensive care unit among other units.
- Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles from the facility
- Floating may be required, and shifts can be scheduled in multiple units depending on staffing needs
- Parking requires a permit through UW Transportation or other transportation options such as bus, park & ride, or private parking
