ARRT Certification

The CT Technologist is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). The CT Technologist is licensed by the state as a general radiographer and is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the performance of basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services. The CT Technologist demonstrates proficiency at routine diagnostic CT Scanning procedures including but not limited to CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis extremities and biopsy/drainage procedures. Responsibilities also include: knowledge of processing of CT system, surgical/sterile procedure, studies with or without contrast media and cross sectional anatomy.

In the area we have 10 local wineries and 20 local microbreweries that have their own events which include dates of live music, Billiards & Darts (The Game), Whitesands National Park (41 mi), Riverbend Hotsprings (76 mi), Elephant Butte Lake (80 mi) (Boating, Fishing, Jet Skiing, Kayaking), Ruidoso (119 mi) (Inn of the Mountain Gods Hotel/Casino/Bowling alley/Golf course/Zip lining/Concerts, cabins, local cuisine, boating, fishing, horseback riding, Ruidoso Downs Racetrack & Casino, and other location activities and exploration), Carldbad Caverns National Park (129 mi), and El Paso, TX (35-45 mi)(2 large malls, minor league baseball, minor hockey league, comedy club, Casino/Horse Racetrack, Concerts, and lots of different restaurants).
