This travel nursing position requires an RN with a specialty focus. The nurse will be working in Asheville, North Carolina at the Mission Hospital within the HCA Healthcare system.

Job requirements

2 years nursing experience is required.
Experience with trachs is a must.
Candidates with previous experience using Cerner will be given priority.

Schedule information

The RN will cover both day and night shifts, with responsibilities including being in charge or part of a team with a variable number of RNs and PCTs depending on the shift.
Patient ratios range from 1:3-4 in step down to 1:4-6 in med surg.
Nurses are required to work 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period.

Unit specific information

Nurses may float to other med surg and progressive care units.
Typical procedures performed include trach care, chest tubes, and wound dressing changes.
The best-suited personality for this unit is someone flexible with a high level of clinical competence.
