  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Telemetry nurse for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.
    Job requirements
  • 2 full years of experience as a Telemetry nurse
  • Hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and CA License
  • Able to read & interpret all cardiac rhythms (Tele: Phillips)
  • Must be able to handle a patient ratio of 1 to 4
  • Floor specific orientation: 1-2 shifts w/ preceptor
  • Must be able to work with common diagnosis/types of patients: Post pacer, hemodialysis, no cardiac/surgical patients, new onset afib, or RVR, stepdown from ICU, surgical patients, sepsis, etc.
    Schedule information
  • Shifts are 12 hours from 7 to 7:30
  • Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts out of 4 week schedule
  • Block scheduling allowed if the needs of the unit are met, but not guaranteed
    Unit specific information
  • Unit: 4W Telemetry
  • Average patient ratio is 1 to 4
  • Primary patient types: Post pacer, hemodialysis patients, and those with conditions such as new onset afib, RVR, sepsis, strokes, TBI
    Additional Details
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Travelers are the first to float between units when necessary
  • Expected to work into the perm staff holiday rotation schedule
  • Scrubs: Navy blue color requirement
