Job Description

  • Position/Specialty: Cytology Tech
  • Department Needs: GYN, Non-GYN, FNA, Rapid On-site Evaluation
  • Shifts:
    • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    • 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
    • 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Experience Required: 1 year
  • First-timers Accepted: Yes
  • Weekend Requirement: None
  • Certifications Required: ASCP-CT
  • On-call Requirement: No
  • Floating: Possible rotation to United Hospital and/or Mercy Hospital
  • Block Schedule Accommodation: Yes
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted (100-mile radius)
  • Pending License Accepted: Yes
  • RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
  • Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty

Special Requirements

  • Perform Robotic EBUS, regular EBUS, EUS, Rapid On-site Evaluation (ROSE), CT, Ultrasound
  • Experience in Inpatient Lab, Outpatient Lab, Ultrasound
  • Professional Knowledge/Skills Required: Specimen Labeling/Identification

  • EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
  • Tech Cert Verification - National
  • NPI Number - Required for PTs, OTs, and SLPs
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - Required
  • Competency Exam - Required

Health Documents

  • Physical Exam - Required within 12 months prior to start
  • Adult Tdap - Required
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray - Required
  • TB Questionnaire - Required annually
  • Drug Testing - Required within 1 year of start
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation - Required for 2024-25

Background Check

  • A criminal background check is required within a year of start date.

Additional Information

  • Candidates must complete the MN DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing their contract.
