Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year required
• Education: BSN preferred
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Pending License: Acceptable, but must be in hand prior to start

Unit Information

• Specialized treatment for patients with serious complex health conditions requiring long-term acute care treatments, including:

  • Respiratory failure
  • Osteomyelitis
  • Complex wound care
  • Hyperoxygenation therapy treatment
  • Acute kidney injury
  • Post-stroke treatment

Competencies

• Basic Dysrhythmia exam required for all RNs and LPN/LVNs
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Competency Exam specific to profession/specialty
