Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).
**Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**

Required Certifications/License: ACLS, BLS, and RRT
Required Skills: ER, Adult Critical Care, Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy/suctioning, ARDS, Aspiration, Bronchoscopy, COVID, Fresh tracheostomy, Pneumonia, Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Inhaled steroids, Arterial punctures, BiPAP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation, ABG interpretation, Drawing arterial blood gases

Unit specific information

Special Procedures/Unit Details: Assist with bronchoscopies. Perform and assist with endotracheal intubation.
Patient Diagnoses: General RT, ventilators, NIV Philips V60 is primary platform, and we use Hamilton too, Hamilton is ventilator platform.
Special Equipment: Nitric oxide, High frequency jet ventilation, High frequency oscillatory ventilation.

Additional Details

Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted.
Online Verification of License to include expiration date and any disciplinary actions (IN.gov).
