Patient Ratios: 4:1 typically- medical, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds

Unit staffing description: Techs available- work in cardiac monitoring unit and the internal processing area, triage, Unit clerks days and nights

Type of equipment: baxter pumps, GE monitors

Documentation system: Cerner

Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, Respectful behavior, Patient Experience to each patient, Boards updated with info and patient updated throughout visit

Must have: 2 years’ experience as a nurse with at least 1-year experience in ER setting, teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time. Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.

Floating policy: No floating outside of the ED but must be open to floating to all sections in the ED.
