Job Duties: Blood Sugars, Insertion of Straight Catheter, EKGs, Insertion or Removal of IV's

Duties include blood sugars, insertion of catheters, IV removal, medication management, documentation skills, and communication skills

Experience or 'Must have' skills: IV, blood draws, medication administration, customer service, experience working as a LPN in hospital or skilled nursing, EPIC knowledge preferred

Will serve as Charge Nurse/House Supervisor as needed

No block scheduling but preferred scheduling

Weekend requirements: every other weekend

Holiday requirements: holiday groups

No call or standby requirement

No floating required, but must be willing to work on both sides of a two-side unit

Unit has a Nurse Preceptor for unit specific education

If no EPIC knowledge, a full day of EPIC training will be provided

EPIC is the documentation system and Omnicell is the pharmacy dispensing unit.

Shift work: 12 hr days, weekends as scheduled

Unit details: Currently running 16 beds, bumping to 22 max until November, then will increase up to full 30 beds

CNA:Patient Ratios are 1:8 CNAs, 1:10 LPNs

Scrub Color/Dress Code is Royal Blue
