Job details

Progressive Care RN required for a 13-week contract position at Presbyterian Hospital. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift, ensuring safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken and patient responses, coordinating patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team, administering medication and treatments, meeting patient and family learning and discharge needs, and assuming responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.

Job requirements

75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE applies - NO LOCAL TRAVELERS. Time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission for approval.
Must be a team flexible team player & accustomed to fast paced environment.
Requires at least one 13-week previous travel assignment and two (2) years current experience required in specialty.
EPIC experience preferred, but not required; training provided on-site.

Schedule information

12-hour Night Shift; start time 1900.
Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.
On call, weekends and holidays may be required, per staff rotation.
Orientation: 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.

Unit specific information

Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.
Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.
Position will float to other areas as needed, within scope of practice.
Scrubs: Required and not provided by the facility. May wear ANY solid color. The scrub top, pant, and jacket (if worn) must be the same solid color to match.

Additional Details

NO HOLIDAY RTO WILL BE APPROVED FOR TRAVELERS.
Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from the last day worked, to be considered for a travel position.
State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice. The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico.
