Licenses and Certifications Required

• IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required for specific RN specialties.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required for specific units.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - Required for L&D, Mother/Baby, NICU.
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - Required for L&D.
• Tech Cert Verification - National certification required for various tech roles.
• NURSYS Verification - Required for all RNs.
• NIH Stroke Certification - Required for ICU specialty types.
• Color Blind Testing - Required for certain positions.
• Competency Exam - Required for CNAs.
• Physical Exam - Required within 1 year of start.
• Fit Mask - Required within 12 months of start.
• Vaccination Requirements:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray documentation.
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella vaccination documentation.
  • Drug Testing - 10-panel drug test required within 30 days of start.
  • Flu vaccination documentation required from October 1st to May 1st.
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation required.

Additional Information

• Background Check: 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start.
• Employment Application: Must include 7 years of employment history and explanation for gaps greater than 30 days.
• State Specific Search: Required for all non-licensed direct patient caregivers to be listed as "Work Eligibility: Eligible" in the IL Healthcare Worker Registry.

Compliance and Training

• Training Modules: Must be completed prior to start.
• Privacy Policy and Acknowledgement: Must be reviewed prior to start.
• Confidentiality Agreement: Must be signed prior to start.
• Sexual Harassment Training: Required for all candidates.
