Travel rate is available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/16.
RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
WILL CERT FOR CHEMO
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
Traveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers.
Skills: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required, Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy - IV, PO, or injection.

Job requirements

Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start.

Schedule information

Target Ratios: 1:6-7
Shift: NIGHTS; Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!
RTO: 7 days MAX - NO CHRISTMAS RTO; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48.
Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.
Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.
Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.

Unit specific information

Daily Census 42.
Contract staff will be assigned equally to the home unit staff to ensure that patients are covered with a registered nurse.
Like units includes floating to inpatient holding in the ED or any alternate medical patient care location.

Additional Details

Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.
Attendance to monthly staff meetings.
