Job details

Novant Health Crisis Response is offering a nursing position for a Registered Nurse specializing in labor and delivery at Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center. The role involves working in an LDRP unit, as well as circulating in the OR for C/S deliveries and recovering patients in PACU.

Job requirements

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years Experience
Must have labor and delivery experience and either LDRP or couplet care experience.
Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st time travelers
Work Setting Skills: Antepartum, Facility births/month <100, L&D, Level 1 Nursery, LDRP, Mother/Baby
Telemetry experience is required.
Skills in IV Start, Circulate, Telemetry, and various antepartum, postpartum, fetal monitoring, meds administration, pain management, and professional topics are needed.

Schedule information

36 hours per week
Shift: 12 Hour DAYS; 06:45 - 19:15
Call Requirement: Call may be required if low census.
Float Requirement: Occasionally may float but would not be likely to be frequent.
Weekend Requirement: Weekend Shifts Required: 8 shifts per contract.

Unit specific information

Patient Diagnoses: Low risk LDRP unit, but will take any patients who are pregnant and need care. High-risk patients will be stabilized and then transferred.
Special Procedures: The facility occasionally takes off service female patients such as a hysterectomy, if census allows.
An OB practice that delivers at this facility.

Unit will accept contracts from 13+ weeks up to March 15, 2025
The unit has 15 Rooms/17 beds
Travel rate is available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/16/2024.
