  • DON'T SUBMIT IF TRAVELER DOES NOT HAVE PEDS EXPERIENCE. Okay to submit if not within a dedicated Childrens facility.
  • RN MUST HAVE CA LICENSE IN HAND OR PENDING WITH ETAs of when it will post
  • Traveler must be willing to get flu shot when requested
  • Traveler could be floated to every unit except OR, PACU and ED. The units include PICU, NICU, medical, surgical, hem/onc, medical behavioral unit. They have, on rare occasion, floated to Bernardy Center.
  • Unit Summary: 30-37 beds. Seeing post op cardiac surgical care, cardiology patients, complex congenital patients, acquired heart disease patients, heart transplantation, VADs and ECMO. Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice. Patients can range from neonatal up to 23.
    Job requirements
  • CA License
  • 2+ years of CVPICU/CTICU experience leading up to assignment
  • PEDS Cardiac exp - MUST be cardiac trained
  • Heart transplant experience
  • Willing to float between units
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • Experience in: Ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation
    Schedule information
  • Shifts: 3x12 variable or straight night shifts, 36x48 available
  • Weekend Requirements: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. For night shift it is any combination of Fri/Sat nights and for day shift it is Sat/Sun.
  • 13 week contracts
  • Requested Time Off: 6 days total (must still get 3 shifts in week)
  • Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holidays (contract can't end before New Years)

  • Ratio:1:1-2

  • Traveler could be floated to every unit except OR, PACU and ED.
  • The units include PICU, NICU, medical, surgical, hem/onc, medical behavioral unit.
  • On rare occasion, have floated to Bernardy Center.
    Additional Details
  • Valid photo ID is required. Must have front and back copies. Traveler must present on their first day.
  • Acknowledgement of P/F Testing is required for ALL RNs (except Case Managers).
  • Professional Accountability Expectations- employee must sign prior to start.
  • Orientation Information - sent out on the Thursday before a Monday start.
