Job Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Bay Area Hospital, you will:

• Apply the nursing process to patient care within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Teach patients and their significant others.
• Document patient care in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care.

Unit Information

• Medical Care Unit (MCU): 1:3-4 ratio, primarily 1:4
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU): 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity; overflow ratio is 1:3
• The ICU is primarily a medical ICU with an open structure and a Tele-intensivist.

Required Experience

• Intermediate or progressive care experience.
• Ability to read and interpret rhythms and cardiac drips.
• Cardiac experience is essential.
• Experience with radial and groin PCI access and bleed management.
• Experience with temporary pacing is required; balloon pump and Impella experience are preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information

• Candidates will be expected to work in both ICU and PCU.
• Certifications do not need to be active at the time of submission but must be obtained.
• An Oregon nursing license does not need to be active at the time of submission but must be obtained.
• COVID vaccination is no longer required.
• There is a cancellation policy of 4 shifts per 13 weeks.
