Job Summary

• Perform a variety of Ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis.
• Prepare the exam room and obtain informed consent.
• Review patient history to determine proper selection of protocols.
• Explain examination methods and position patients accordingly.
• Assess patient status and needs, completing appropriate diagnostic techniques/tests.
• Review and evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness, ensuring quality images.
• Coordinate the preparation of images/exams and necessary documentation for physician partners.
• Document and communicate patient-related information thoroughly and accurately.
• Inform patients of physician’s instructions or caregiver observations and incorporate this into care.
• Meet the needs of patients, families, and the multi-disciplinary team through effective communication and coordination.
• Ensure safe and effective handoff between shifts by communicating clearly with the oncoming shift.
• Monitor equipment reliability and safety, reporting issues as necessary.
• Order and stock supplies, clean rooms and equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Actively participate in quality initiatives, including patient satisfaction and workflow.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization and adhere to service behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field.
