Certifications and Requirements

Mandatory Certifications

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS - Basic Life Support
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (must have within 3 weeks of start date)
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute (required for ER and Psych)
State License Verification - Primary Source Verification required
NURSYS Verification - For RN, LPN/LVN, AP
HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement - Required annually
Tech Cert Verification - National (for applicable positions)

Health Documents

Physical Exam - Required within 1 year of start
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap - Required within 10 years of start
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray - PPD within 3 months or Qgold/TSPOT within 1 year
Drug Testing - 10 Panel Drug screen within 30 days of start
Flu Seasonal Vaccination - Required during flu season or medical/religious exemption

Background and History

Background Check - Required within 1 year of start covering all locations lived/worked/in school in past 7 years
References - Two clinical references required (one from a supervisor or higher)
Complete Application/Resume - Required

Additional Information

Government-Issued Photo ID - Required to be carried during hours of service
Competency Exams - Required as applicable by profession/specialty
Skills Checklist - Required annually
