Job details

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite.
Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
Travelers are required to work every other weekend.

Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT Accept 1st Time Travelers (Must have at least 1 year of travel experience. Prefer 2 years previous travel experience)

Skills: IV Start and Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg neuro EXPERIENCE

Schedule information

RATIOS: 1:5-6
Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!
36 hrs only
SHIFT: 12HR DAYS
RTO -7 DAYS MAX
If RTO includes weekends, time will be added to end of contract to make up for those dates.
Float Requirement: Floating Required: floating required to any other MS/Tele areas, may include COVID care units.
If the traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, we will need to have them make up the weekend shifts based on the needs of the unit.
Frequent floating may be required.
SCHEDULING TYPE: Preferred Scheduling
If a traveler calls out of a shift, they are expected to make up that day the same week or at the end of their contract.

Unit specific information

We care primarily for Stroke patients, but also care for possible Neurosurgery patients as well as other Neuro diagnoses, such as Epilepsy, Traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and many more.
We have a 4 BED Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) that is considered Intermediate level and that nurse has 4:1.
42 daily census. 43 rooms/beds.
Float Requirement: Floating Required: floating required to any other MS/Tele areas, may include COVID care units.
