PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE, THE DYSRHYTHMIA EXAM (BASIC) THROUGH UNA IS REQUIRED TO BE SENT ALONG WITH ACCEPTANCE.

THIS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24-48 HRS.

PLEASE NOTE IT'S PASS OR FAIL AND THEY GET TWO ATTEMPTS.

The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.

OT and extra shifts are available.

Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it.

Schedules are out 4 weeks.

Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and make trades with other staff.

Block scheduling is generally not available.

Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years).

Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling.

Beds: 8 beds

Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

Ratios: 1:1-2

EMR: Cerner

Charge Nurse: Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.

Nurse Aides: Yes as census and staffing dictates

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Holidays: Rotate in with core staff

Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black.

Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.

Vents: Yes. Gallileo and G5s.

Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: No. Utilize Telemed robot.

IV Team: No

RT 24/7: Yes

Pharmacy 24/7: Yes

Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen.

Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General medical/surgical population. Stable CVA post TPA, resp failure, manual proning, COPD, CHF, DKA. No CABG or Neuro surgery.

Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.

Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed.
