  • Years of Experience? Both PT & PTA will need greater than 1 year of experience
  • Will Accept a First-time traveler? Prefer travel experience – dependent on interview/skills
  • COVID policy: Vaccine required, exemption process
  • Perm staff must be separated for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Patient Types: IPR: Spinal Cord Injuries, TBI, Strokes, Amputees, Multiple trauma, Hip fractures, bilateral knee replacements, s/p Cardiac surgery, s/p COVID, medically complex/debilitating patients
  • Acute: s/p Cardiac, s/p Ortho procedures, medically complex/debilitating patients
  • Outpatient: General Ortho (surgical & non-surgical), Sports Med, Pediatrics (developmental), Neuro specific diagnoses (higher functioning), Spinal patients (surgical & non-surgical)
  • Skilled Nursing: similar to IPR
    Job requirements
  • PT: Current LA PT license
  • PTA: Current LA PTA license
  • Clinical Skills required: PT/PTA: Ability to manage a case load independently; experience with above mentioned patient types; working with the multidisciplinary team
    Schedule information
  • Hours – PT/PTA: 0800-1630 – depends on location
  • Weekend rotation: no weekend coverage for Outpatient; IPR and Acute care – usually 1 per month
  • Can we approve time off? Discussed during interview
  • Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? No call
  • Holiday Expectations: No holidays
    Unit specific information
  • Support on the Unit: Supervisor, Assistant Director
  • Most of the time, will be surrounded by other team members
  • Charting System/Equipment: Inpatient Rehab & Acute Care: Meditech Expanse, Outpatient: Wellsky, Skilled Nursing: AOD – transitioning to Meditech Expanse
  • Orientation: Attend a general hospital orientation + departmental and site specific orientation (2-3 days) – will have full case load by the end of the week
  • Scrub Color: Pewter (Inpatient) or Professional Dress (option for Outpatient only)
  • Parking: Free parking
