Job details

General job duties. Types of procedures required. Care of post surgical patients: General, Joints, Bariatric, and some Cardiothoracic with chest tubes. Ambulating patients, starting IVs, wound care.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EPIC charting, Omnicell for meds.
Minimum of 3 years surgical post op experience.
Nights with rotating weekends. Will not work alone, there are at least 2 RNs on the floor.
May have to float to a Med Surgical floor, step down unit, or Cardiac floor.
15 beds, all private rooms.
Try to stay at 4:1, but may have to go 5:1.
Navy Blue Scrubs.
3 day unit orientation plus Orthopedic and Bariatric computer module training.
