CVICU RN 221103425 position available.
The unit is a 18 bed CardiacThoracicVascular Intensive Care Unit.
The unit supports three surgical lines: cardiac, thoracic, and vascular at the ICU level.
Open heart, complex thoracic and vascular patients recover on the unit with specialized trained nurses.
Patients are stabilized and supported by impella, IBP, CRRT and ECMO.
Nursing ratio is 1:2, which can be a 1:1 depending on the patient.
Unit supports complex cases from cath lab, structural heart program, EP lab, ER, and clinic.
Looking for nurses with 1 year of experience with this patient population.
Culture of Teamwork.

Job requirements

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - AHA or APEX certifications required.
Nurses must have 1 year of experience with the patient population in CVICU.
CNAs are not utilized in our ICU.

Schedule information

12 hr nights shift.

Unit specific information

Population cared for in CVICU includes ECMO, Balloon Pumps, CRRT, Heart Surgeries, TAVRs, Common and Advanced thoracic and cardiac surgeries, Lytic cases, Carotids and TCARS Fempop, EVARs/Endo AAA's.
