Job Description

• Call Schedule:

  • Weekday call: 1600-0730 the next morning
  • Weekend call: 1600 on Friday until 0730 on Monday
• Shift Details: Most staff work 10-hour shifts; shifts vary.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds:

  • 4 holding
  • 4 observation
  • 3 procedural rooms
• Patient Ratios:

  • Procedural room: 3 staff per 1 patient
  • Holding: Generally 2 patients per nurse (not applicable for techs)
• Staffing:

  • 1 unit coordinator
  • 5 RCIS/Techs
  • 7 RNs
  • Approximately 9-10 staff members scheduled daily
• Equipment:

  • GE x-ray system
  • GE hemodynamics
  • Meditech documentation
  • Various procedural equipment
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 5 days/week (8-hour days) & call generally 10 days/month
• Floating Policy: Rarely asked to float if no cases

Patient Experience Requirements

• Experience: Cath lab experience preferred; required for travel staff.

Certifications Required

• ACLS/BLS
• RT or RCIS Certification
• State License: Must be licensed in New Hampshire

Hiring Profile

• Requested Skill Set:

  • Proper schooling/degree
  • RCIS certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire)
  • ACLS/BLS
• Advanced Skills Needed: Cath lab experience

Procedures Performed

• Cardiac caths – PCI, STEMI, peripheral angiograms & interventions
• Implants – PPM/ICD/CRT-D
• EP studies & ablations

Dress Code

• Scrubs provided
