• Unit Type: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 27
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 Medics (increases to 9-10 RNs by 11 AM)
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 Medics
• Patient Ratios: 4-6 patients per RN
• Equipment: EMR - Meditech

Hiring Profile

Required Skills

• 2-3 years of ER experience
• Completion of 2-3 travel assignments

Preferred Skills

• Experience in high acuity ERs and fast-paced environments
• Familiarity with patient ratios of 5:1

Typical Procedures

• RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation)
• Sepsis interventions
• Stroke protocol with tPA administration
• Central line placement
• Care of psych patients
• Transfers to other facilities (EMTALA)

Personality Fit

• Relaxed, easy-going, friendly, team-oriented, and respectful.

Certifications

• Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred: TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIH

• Floating Areas: None
• Dress Code: Navy blue or white scrubs
• Weekend Requirements: Four weekend shifts in a four-week scheduling period (Friday or Saturday nights; Saturday or Sunday days)
• On Call: No on-call shifts
