  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced MedSurg nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 3 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS and CA License.
    Job requirements

  • Hold an active BLS, ACLS and CA License
  • Basic Arrhythmia Skills
    Schedule information
  • Shifts/Hours: 12's; 7a - 7:30p/7p - 7:30a
  • Breaks: 1/2 hour break (clock-out); 3 - 15 min breaks per shift (CA Law)
  • Weekends: Every other weekend or equivalent of 4 weekend days in a 4 week schedule
  • Day Shift Weekend is Sat/Sun; Nights is Fri/Sat
    Unit specific information
  • Unit: MedSurg 4E - Remote Tele
  • Unit Orientation: 1 - 2 shifts including the other units they could be floated to (4E, Tele & 5E)
  • Nurse Aides: Yes (can vary depending on census)
  • Charge Nurse: Yes (does not take patients but helps staff nurses)
  • Tele: Patients on tele monitored remotely
  • No Vents
  • IV Team: No - ICU & ER can assist with hard IV sticks
  • RT 24/7: Yes
  • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes & Omnicell
  • Types of patients: Designated COVID unit/cardiac tele unit. Non-diagnostic cath lab patients. Cardiac Drips required.
  • Floating: MedSurg nurses only take MedSurg patients. Would not get CABG or Cath Lab pts if go to Tele. Would be MS pt on Tele.
    Additional Details
  • Medical Solutions Clinical Team will pre-screen all candidates. Managers will do 2nd interview
  • CERNER REQUIRED
  • NO FIRST TIME TRAVELERS
