Job Description

• Minimum Experience: 1 year; first-timers are accepted.
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics.
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • RD/RDN (Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for inpatient therapies and interventions, including:

  • Calorie counts
  • Tube feedings
  • Food-drug interactions
  • TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition)
  • Treatment plans and nutrition assessments

Work Environment

• Ratio/Census: 1:100; 25 visits per day, average daily census of 280.
• Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR.
• Scrub Color: Purple.
• Floating: Yes, within the facility.
• Call Requirements: Yes, on weekends and after hours as assigned.

Scheduling

• RTO (Requested Time Off): Maximum of 7 days.
• Weekends: Every 5th weekend.
• Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period.

Compliance and Pre-Screening

• Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a 2-week delay.
• Candidates will undergo a clinical review to determine fit before being sent to the manager for final decision.

• References: 2 clinical references needed.
