- Autonomy in practice
- List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Lumbar punctures, chest tubes, intubation, IV starts, Arterial stick, UAC/UVC placement and maintenance, PAL maintenance
- Best personality Fit: Teamwork, helpful, flexible
Job requirements
- Unit Information: NICU level III
- Number of Beds - 24
- Number of Staff – 38
- Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 Charge, 4-6 RNs, 1 PCA, 1 Milk Tech
- Night Shift - 1 Charge, 4-6 RN
- Patient Ratios – level 3 2:1 (sometimes 3:1), level 2 4:1
- Type of equipment – ventilator, IV pumps, CPAP, Oscillator, Phototherapy lights/blankets
- EMR – Meditech/ GE Centricity (CPN)
- Weekends required (4-5 weekend shifts a month)
