- Can be assigned as a CNA if RN short (same expectation with our own staff)
- Can be assigned as an entrance screener if needed (same expectation with our own staff)
- Able to read telemetry strips and verify readings
Job requirements
- 12 hour shifts, full time
- Every other weekend
- Schedule based on staffing need to cover the entire med surg division
- Holiday Requirement: Yes, 1-2 winter holidays
- Call or standby requirement: Yes, up to 4 times during contract duration
Schedule information
- Med Surg Units include surgical unit, long-term low acuity unit, general medical cases unit, short stay cardiac COVID unit, neurology unit, ortho, and spine unit
- Common patient types include abdominal surgeries, trauma, general medical cases, chronic and acute conditions, cardiac, COVID-19, and neurology and orthopedic/spine surgeries
- RN Ratios: 4-5 patients
- CNA Ratios: 8-11 patients
- RT Equipment includes CPAP, Bipap, Trachs (no vents)
- Tele monitored remotely by telemetry techs
Unit specific information
- All med surg units are telemetry
- Expect to cover the need of the entire med surg division
- May float to alternate med surg units or assignments as needed
- No specific scrub color required
