Job Description

• Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
• Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before patient studies.
• Administer radioactive material to patients as per physician’s orders and prescribed protocols.
• Adhere to department documentation policies, including filling in logs and manuals, and reporting equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
• Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, following radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle.
• Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify receipt and activity levels on the day of administration.

Additional Information

• Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
• Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
