PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required as per Unit Description.

NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure required as per Unit Description.

State License Verification required prior to start.

NURSYS Verification required.

5 West is a 40-bed non specialty med-surg unit caring for patients ages 18 and older.

Staff cares for a variety of medical and telemetry patients with acute and/or chronic illnesses.

Staff members will manage titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wound care, post-bariatric procedures, high oxygen delivery systems and end-of-life care.

5 West will begin piloting a team-based care delivery model in January 2025.

Team-based care consists of Lead Nurses, bedside Registered Nurses, Virtual Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Nursing Assistants.

Virtual nurses perform administrative tasks that do not require physical presence.

Team based care promotes teamwork, communication, and leadership.

Large, urban hospital experience required.

Must be able to manage drips on all floors.

Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital experience required.

First timers NOT accepted unless they have 2+ years of trauma experience and meet all other requirements.

BLS required.

EPIC charting experience required.

Float within scope to meet facility needs.

Weekend Requirement: Two weekends in a four-week schedule period.

A variety of patients are cared for, including those with sepsis, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and cardiac disease.

Patients with COVID-19 are also cared for on the unit.

Locals NOT accepted (must be more than 100 miles from facility)

Pending license accepted, but if not in hand at the time of submission, booking is six weeks out.

RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted.

RTO must be submitted with application.

Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion.
