Unit Name: Observation.
Brief Unit Description: Observation patients and holds.
Years of Experience Required: 2+ years.
Skill Sets Required: MED/SURG Telemetry, Epic.
Clinician to Patient Ratio: 4:1 or 5:1 depend on unit needs.
Patient Population: Adult.
Bed Count: 16.
Census: 10-16.
EMR (Charting System): Epic Asap and Clin doc.
Floating Required: Yes.
Rotating Shifts Required: Yes.
Certifications Required: ACLS. Active MA RN License.
Additional Information: New 16 beds Observation (OBV) unit.

Job requirements

2+ years of experience in M/S Tele required.
Able to read tele strips is a must.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Massachusetts.
Knowledge of Epic EMR systems.
ACLS Certification.

Schedule information

Night shifts with Every Other Weekend (EOW).
Full-time, 36 hours per week.

Additional Details

AHA, Red Cross, CHSF or Military certifications accepted.
Primary Source Verification of License/Certificate required within 30 days of start date.
N95 fit test required annually.
COVID-19 Vaccine requirement without exceptions.
Flu Vaccine required during flu season.
TB Test and annual health assessments.
