Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a healthcare setting
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, Education, or a related health field
    • Completion of a 600-hour Child Life internship
  • Certification: Certified Child Life Specialist (Child Life Certification)

Dress Code

  • Pewter pants, turquoise or black polo

Required Credentials

  1. COVID-19 Vaccine: Required; vaccination card must be provided. Declinations accepted for medical or religious reasons.
  2. MMR: Documentation of 2 MMRs at least 28 days apart and/or positive laboratory titer.
  3. Fit Test: Completed onsite and annually.
  4. Hepatitis B: Documentation of Hep B vaccinations (series of 3) and/or positive laboratory titer or signed declination.
  5. Influenza Vaccine: Status required; declination reviewed for religious or medical exemption only.
  6. TB Test: Two negative TB skin tests (one within 90 days and one within 365 days) or Quantiferon Gold within 90 days, updated annually.
  7. Varicella: Documentation of 2 doses of varicella 4 weeks apart and/or positive laboratory titer.
  8. Tdap: Proof of having received the vaccine.
  9. Physical/Health Statement: Written statement confirming physical capability to perform essential job functions, completed within one year prior to assignment.
  10. Norton Profile: Full work experience with references from previous managers.
  11. Norton Specialty Exam: Passing score of 80% or higher, updated every 3 years.
  12. Norton Skills Checklist: Completed prior to start, updated annually.
  13. Norton Drug Screen: Standard 10 panel drug screen, completed within 12 months before start and updated annually.
  14. Norton References and Employment Verification: Completed prior to start, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years.
  15. Norton Background Check: Comprehensive background check completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
  16. Norton Candidate Affirmation: Completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
  17. Norton Employment Eligibility: E-Verify and supporting documentation completed prior to start.
  18. Norton I-9: Completed with supporting documentation prior to start.
  19. Norton Job Description: Must align with Norton's job description.
  20. Norton Joint Commission and Regulatory Standards: Workplace Safety Module, completed prior to start and updated annually.
  21. Norton KY TB Risk Assessment Form: Completed 90 days prior to start, updated annually.
  22. Norton Work History Form: Facility form must be completed.
  23. Norton Adult Caregiver Misconduct Registry: Registry check updated every 3 years.
  24. Norton Exclusion Search: Completed internally.
  25. License/Certificate Verification: Current state or compact license and Primary Source Verification completed prior to start.
