Job details

A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool. The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience and an active AZ license or compact. Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.

Job requirements

Travelers must have 2+ years of current tele experience.
COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.
Travelers must be able to titrate drips.
Must be able to interpret EKGs.
Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units and may require floating to ICU, Cardiac Tele as well as other units.

Schedule information

Travelers will have a 12 hr shifts schedule, from 7-7.
Floating is required to similar or lower acuity units.
Floor specific orientation includes 2 days on the floor.

Unit specific information

Unit specifics differ per unit including MedSurg, CV Tele, Tele Neuro, and more with details like bed counts, nurse-to-patient ratios, weekend requirements, shift details, and common diagnosis/types of patients across various units.
For Telemetry Units, nurses must be able to interpret EKGs.
Floating may occur based on skill level.

Additional Details

Must be able to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start within 48 hours of offer.
Pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation.
Required to float to different units mid-shift can happen.
