- Must hold an Associate or Applied Science Degree (AS or AAS), or Diploma, in X-ray.

- The Medical Imaging Technologist within the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, under the direction of the Medical Director, the manager, and the physicians, has a key role in providing quality care to patients requiring a wide variety of procedural services.
- The VIR Technologist works collaboratively with all members of the team to create diagnostic images, engage in hands-on participation as a procedural assistant, and develop relationships with staff and patients to provide everyone with a safe and positive experience.
- VIR technologists practice and enforce the radiation safety measures in New York State Department of health code part 16 and support teaching and continued learning for themselves and others as technology evolves.
- Essential duties & responsibilities include knowledge of radiation protection and safety, assisting physicians in all aspects of complex procedures, and demonstrating knowledge about and proficiency using each of the supplies used for a variety of IR procedures.

- Years of experience required: 1 preferred, but not necessary.
