  • Research Psychiatric Center is seeking a qualified RN to join their dedicated team in providing psychiatric care. The position requires active blue card CPI, BLS, and CPI certifications, with an emphasis on recognized signs of psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral problems, as well as implementing individualized care plans for mental health and behavioral issues.
    Job requirements
  • Ability to assess patients' mental health status, taking thorough patient histories, observing behavior, and using diagnostic tools.
  • Developing care plans based on the needs of patients with mental health and behavioral issues.
  • Administering psychiatric medications and monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Providing crisis intervention for patients in crisis such as suicidal ideation or aggression.
    Schedule information
  • Coverage required for three 12-hour shifts each day, seven days a week, including weekends. Days off are not guaranteed unless specified in the contract.
    Unit specific information
  • Number of Beds: ADOL 18, Serenity 24, ITU 32, SRAD 16, VINE 9.
  • Patient Ratios: Nurses 8 to 1, MHTs 12:1.
  • Type of equipment: To be detailed further.
  • Documentation system: Meditech.
  • Floating policy: Utilized where the greatest need is.
  • Dress Code: Nurses wear blue; MHTs wear green or black.
