Unit Details

• Shift: 3x12hr Nights, every other weekend, may float
• Average Daily Census: 26
• Total Beds: 32
• Patient Ratio: 1:2

Patient Diagnosis

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• First-time travelers with 2 years of experience are welcome.

Documentation Requirements

• I-9 or Attestation: Required
• Government Issued Photo ID: Required (e.g., Driver's License/State ID)

• NURSYS Verification: Required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP
• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
• Background Check: 7-year criminal search within 30 days of start
• References: Two professional references required within 1 year of start

Health Requirements

• TB Testing: Negative QGOLD or TSPOT within 1 year of start, or 2 PPDs
• Vaccinations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for units working with children)
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (proof of vaccination or titer required)
  • Flu Vaccine (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (not required for certain locations, but exemptions accepted)

Competencies

• Various competency exams required, including medication test and age-specific competency exam.
