THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED. The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience and hold an active AZ license or compact license (TNCC is preferred). Travelers could also float to the sister facility if needed. Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage. Flexibility is a must. Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts. There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).

Job requirements

3 YEARS OF RECENT ICU EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Experience must also include EITHER neuro or CV.
No monitor techs on unit, RN required to interpret own strip.
Self-scheduling. Manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs.

Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE of a position, MAX ATTEMPTS IS 2.
Pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation
Will validate skills for trauma, neuro and specialty devices as needed.
Level 1 experience or neuro experience not required but preferred.
Prefer prior experience at a similar size unit ICU.

Schedule information

Typically, every other weekend is required.
May have to work 3 weekends a month if unit needs extra coverage.
Self-scheduling.
Nightshift weekends are Friday - Saturday. Dayshift are Saturday - Sunday.
May have 1 holiday off in an assignment.
No additional call/standby shifts required. May be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs.

Unit specific information

Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:2, 1:1
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: trauma patients over age of 15, specialty neuro-surgery cases, CVA, status post-TPA, COVID, sepsis, ARDS.
RN required to titrate drips like Propofol, fentanyl, versed, and more.
