- A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ER nurse for a travel contract.
Job details
- The right candidate will have 3 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, PALS and CA License.
- CERNER REQUIRED.
- Will be required to float to Peds ER.
Job requirements
- 12 hrs, 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 7p-7a. No block scheduling. Traveler needs to be flexible with the scheduling.
- Every other weekend.
- 2 out of every 3 holidays.
Schedule information
- ICU is 1:2; peds 1:4; adults 1:4; procedural sedation 1:1.
- Use ER techs or CNAs, have LVNs that run fast track area.
- Adult ER-BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS is required; Peds ER-BLS, ALS, PALS and ENPC preferred or CPEN preferred.
- 2 years experience required.
- Phillips - they have a monitor tech.
- Adult ER is a STEMI, CVA and burn receiving center.
- In the Peds ER, they are a receiving center for pediatrics.
- All candidates must have some experience with Peds and Adults.
Unit specific information
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS;**MUST HAVE 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE**
- **WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY TRAVEL TEAMS, INCLUDING DUOS**
- Basic EKG interpretation test assigned during orientation.
- Critical care RNs will have more than just the basic interpretation test.
