Job Description

• Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department.
• Perform high-quality imaging and exams while being sensitive to patient needs.
• Follow standards of safe radiation practice and demonstrate leadership abilities.
• Assist physicians in specialized cardiovascular procedures, including:

  • Diagnostic and interventional catheterization
  • Pacemaker/defibrillator implantation
  • Intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP)
  • Electrophysiology studies
• Ensure safety for self and patients during imaging procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
• Maintain technical operation of equipment and ensure cleanliness of work areas.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development.
• Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• One year of imaging experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in invasive cardiovascular technology is preferred.
• Cardiac diagnostic/interventional procedural experience is preferred.

Additional Information

• Floating may be required to any Centura location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment.
• Float assignments may include duties outside of original job requirements in accordance with Centura policy.
