Required Certifications
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required for RNs in specific departments)
- BLS: Basic Life Support (required for all RNs)
- PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required for ER, Pediatrics, and PICU)
- NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (required for L&D, NICU, Post Partum, and Nursery RNs)
- TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course (required for Pre-Start ER RNs)
- EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring (required for L&D RNs)
- CPI: Crisis Prevention Institute (required for Psych/Behavioral Health RNs)
- Chemo Certification: Preferred for Oncology
- NIH Stroke Certification: Preferred for Neuro ICU and Medical Surgical-Neuro
Additional Requirements
- I-9 Documentation: Proof of I-9 or Attestation
- E-Verify: Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
- Photo ID: Drivers License/State ID required
- Background Check: 7-year background check required within 60 days of start
- References: 2 professional references required within the last 3 years
- Resume: Must include at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps greater than 30 days
Health Documents
- TB Screening: Negative QGold, TSpot, or True 2-Step PPD required within 1 year of start
- Vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) - Positive Titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B series (3) or Positive/Reactive Titer required
- Varicella - Positive Titer or 2 vaccines required
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (9/1-3/31) or approved exemption
- Drug Testing: Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen required within 60 days of start
Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable by profession
- Competency Exam: Required as applicable to profession/specialty
Facility Specific Documents
- New Hire Packet: Required for all employees prior to start
- Access and Confidentiality Agreement: Must be signed prior to start
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
