Employment Details

• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12 hr Nights (1900-0730)
• First-timers Accepted: Yes (3-5 years experience in ER required)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 3 years (preferably from large academic facilities)
• Floating Requirement: No
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, as per department needs
• On-call Requirement: No

Documentation and Certifications Required

• Documentation System: EPIC
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Health Documents:

  • Physical Exam (within 1 year)
  • Fit Mask (within 1 year, renewed annually)
  • Tdap vaccine (within the last 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
  • TB Questionnaire (annual update)
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella vaccinations or titers
  • Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen (within 1 year)
  • Flu Vaccine (seasonal, November 1 - April 30)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (if applicable)

Additional Requirements

• Background Check: Standard background check within 1 year, updated annually
• References: 2 professional references required
• Employment Application: Required
• Unit Specific Skills Checklist: Required, updated annually
• Internal Evaluation: Required after one year of employment

• RTO Restrictions: Pre-approved time off at the discretion of the manager; must be included at the time of submission.
