Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Technologist prepares for and assists physicians in all procedures conducted in the Cardiovascular Lab.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the policies and procedures of Froedtert Health and the division of patient care services, focusing on the needs of patients undergoing invasive testing in the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs.
- Collect, document, record, and calculate pertinent patient data.
- Assist physicians with all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Prepare and instruct patients pre and post-procedure.
- Develop communication skills with all customers, both internal and external.
- Perform basic radiologic functions, including acquiring, processing, and storing digital images, as well as basic equipment troubleshooting and radiation safety.
- Complete Safety Event reports for advanced exposure under the direct supervision of a physician.
- Maintain a clean and orderly patient care environment and sterile field.
- Familiarity with basic diagnostic and procedural supplies and their locations within procedure rooms, core room, and carts.
- Accurately scan Space Trax for supplies.
