Job Summary

A Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for performing designated Respiratory Care and Pulmonary diagnostic procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

• Treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.
• Performing therapeutic treatment and diagnostic testing using medical gases and equipment, environmental control systems, humidification, and aerosols.
• Administering medications to the cardiopulmonary system.
• Providing ventilatory support, including maintenance and management of life support systems.
• Conducting bronchopulmonary clearance and breathing exercises.
• Educating patients and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Maintaining natural and artificial airways.
• Working in both critical care and non-critical care areas, with patients of all ages.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in both general and critical care.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care.

Contract Length

• 94 days
