A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Home Health nurse for a travel contract.

Job requirements

Schedule information

Hours are flexible, usually M-F 8am-5pm, with a 1 hr lunch
every 3rd weekend - when they work the weekend they can have a day off the week before and after if wanted
they will work into holiday rotation
may have to take call, call is usually required 2-4x per month for the weekdays, schedule is 5pm-8am.

Unit specific information

Unit: Home Health
patient load is based on productivity, usually about 5 visits per day, admission is usually equivalent to two patients
Floor specific orientation: 1.5 - 2 weeks
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: pt infusions, IV antibiotics, TPN, central lines, PICC lines, blood draws

They may have to do infusions for peds, if the visit is related to pediatric condition they will be sent to ER for evaluation, most/if not all of pt population is not peds.
