Job Description

Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 (RN's choice)
Unit: ICU (PM shift)
Average Patient Ratio: 1:3 (days, nights, weekends)
Call Requirement: No
Floating: Yes (to PCU, other ICUs, and SRC campus as needed)
Every Other Weekend Coverage: Yes
Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years; first-time travelers accepted.

Certifications Required

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS - Basic Life Support
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred)
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (required for NICU)
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (required for ER)
EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (required for L&D RNs)
CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute (required for Psychiatrics/Behavioral Health)
NIH Stroke Certification (required for all RNs)
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required)
Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for Telemetry and ICU)
Color Blind Testing Online (required)
Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) (required)

Health Documents Required

Physical Exam - within 12 months of start
Fit Test - within 12 months of start, updated annually
TB Questionnaire - required annually
Drug Testing - 10 Panel Drug screen within 12 months, updated annually
Vaccinations - Tdap, Flu, COVID-19, Hepatitis B, Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella

Background Check

7 Year Criminal Background Check - required within 12 months, updated annually
Employment Application - must include a 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
