Job Description
- Title: Cross Train to Oncology Program
- Contract Duration: 26 to 39 weeks with potential for a permanent role.
- Work Schedule:
- Regular shifts of 36 to 40 hours per week during orientation, then 36 shifts afterward.
- Rotating day and night shifts every 4 weeks.
- Mandatory availability for alternating weekend shifts.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 1 year of experience required in PCU/Stepdown; oncology experience preferred but not required (training provided).
- Certifications:
- BCLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication system required.
- EPIC charting experience required.
- First-time travelers accepted.
Required Skills
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Knowledge of Rapid Response Teams.
- Competency in gastrointestinal care.
- Proficient in feeding tube care and management.
- Skilled in IV therapy and phlebotomy.
- Previous experience with blood product administration.
- Understanding of peripheral line care and management.
- Proficiency in starting IVs.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in oncology, specifically in inpatient oncology and/or outpatient chemo infusion center.

Certifications:
- Various certifications required based on unit specifics (e.g., ACLS, BLS, PALS).
References:
- 2 professional references required, including at least 1 from a manager/director.
